Key Performance Areas

• Administer school funding norms for public ordinary and special schools
• Monitor the compliance of usage of allocated subsidies in line with legislative frameworks.
• Monitor the submission of audited financial statements.
• Evaluate and analyse the annual financial statements for schools.

Prerequisites

• NQF level 6 qualification as recognised by SAQA
• A qualification in Accounting/Cost/Management Accounting/Internal Auditing/Finance Management will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Financial / Accounting environment or related field.
• A valid driver’s license except for people with disabilities.

Person Profile

• Knowledge and understanding of the relevant financial legislative policies, procedures and legislative frameworks and Treasury instructions and regulations. Analytical, report writing, and financial management skills. Communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills. Functional computer literacy: MS word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
