As a Senior Tour Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in creating unforgettable luxury travel experiences. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing bespoke itineraries, liaising with internal clients and suppliers, and selling travel packages that showcase the best of Southern Africa. You will also be tasked with ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained throughout every stage of the client journey. Your extensive product knowledge will be key in delivering exceptional client and guest relationship management.
Designing and costing itineraries for luxury travel experiences
Liaising with internal clients and suppliers at all levels
Selling Southern Africa travel packages to new enquiries
Delivering exceptional client and guest relationship management
Maintaining a high level of product knowledge across the luxury market
Ensuring efficient and profitable operations
Quality assurance of all guest travel documentation
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Tour Consultant role will bring a wealth of experience in Southern Africa inbound tour operating. You'll have proven skills in CRM & operating systems, as well as direct travel sales experience to internal business clients. Your ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and manage bookings is essential. A strong understanding of product innovation and development within the luxury travel market is key. Exposure to e-marketing and social media would be advantageous.
Experience in Southern Africa Inbound Tour Operating (5 years Southern Africa expertise preferable)
CRM & Operating systems experience
Travel sales experience – direct to internal business client
Supplier communications and booking experience
Product Knowledge, Innovation, and Development
E-marketing and Social Media exposure an advantage
