    Service Technician (Components)

    Mission:

    To create an organizational structure that is most suitable for the effective and efficient operations of the Jet Park workshop.

    Main responsibilities:

    • To create an organizational structure that is most suitable for the effective and efficient operations of the Jet Park workshop.
    • To develop a highly skilled motivated team that is focused on quality and efficiency. To develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures that are in line with Total Quality Management and Continuous improvement principles.
    • To promote safe working environment through enhanced awareness, compliance with all applicable Epiroc safety standards and SHEQ regulatory requirements.

    Education and Experience:

    • Matric or grade 12
    • Trade test qualification (Diesel mechanic/Earthmoving mechanic/Mechanical fitter)
    • Minimum of four years of technical field or shop service experience maintaining and rebuilding major components and or equipment rebuilds (Epiroc and other) or equivalent

    Competence and Skills:

    • Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhauls, and repairs of a wide variety of hydraulic and power train components, or, three to five years of progressive work experience in a related industry will be considered
    • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, powertrain function and related components
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required
    • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
