Key Focus

Ensure compliance with standards related to health, safety, environment and quality including the monitoring of all relevant processes and procedures, the training of staff and the development of the system according to relevant requirements.

Qualification Information

• National Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety / Environmental / Risk / Quality Management or equivalent qualification
• SAMTRACK qualification would be advantageous

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the maintenance and management of a SHEQ system, preferably ISO9001, and a safety management system, preferably OSHAS18001/ISO 45001 and Environmental Management system, preferably ISO 14001.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) tasks
• Prepare and facilitate internal and external audits
• Conduct SHEQ risk assessments
• Monitor progress of rollout of OHSAS18001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO9001:2015
• Support the projects team with project-specific advice concerning safety files and subcontractor management
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and customer complaints, and work with management team to improve
• Report to management regarding non-conformances, audits, quality objectives and other relevant IMS issues
• Develop and facilitate SHEQ trainings
• Chair HSE meetings and follow up on outstanding issues
• Prepare safety files for onsite installations
• Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems, distribution of health and safety specific documents to contractors and sub-contractors.
• Complete incident investigations and record
• Share relevant information timeously with all the relevant interested parties
• Handle injuries on duty, incidents on-site (permanents, contractors and contract labour)
