Job Advert Summary    

• Take bin dips at the beginning each shift
• Report any defaults in plant on Pragma (CMMS)
• Ensure production plan is followed
• Plan production routes with control room operators.
• Ensure mill is in good running condition.
• Maximize throughput on machinery (OEE’s)
• Correct out-loading procedures and weights
• Adhere to safe working procedures
• Wellbeing of sub-ordinates
• Ensure high-quality of products
• Discipline of sub-ordinates
• Taking of sample of milled product to ensure quality
• Ensure durability at PM is with in spec (In process sampling).
• Identify value adding projects or initiatives
• Be an effective member of the team.
• Ensure safe working procedures is being followed
• Ensure safety and communicate any risks to the manager
• Use PPE effectively
• Report all non-compliance to the OSHAct
• Assist in drafting standard operating procedures.
• Adhere to legislative and company procedures
• Communicate training needs to the manager.
• Always ensure that housekeeping is at a high standard.
• Always prevent contamination of raw materials and finish products
• Prevent spillages.
• Clean up spillages immediately if any.
• Maintain high level of personal hygiene.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12
• N2
• Millwright/Electrical Trade Test (advantageous)
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar position, preferably FMCG.
