    Short-Term Insurance Commercial Underwriter

    Lexdan Select is assisting a Short-Term Insurance brokerage with their search for a Commercial Underwriter, based in Somerset West.

    Functions:

    • Servicing and maintenance of commercial insurance portfolios
    • Processing commercial portfolios monthly and annual renewals timeously
    • Administering client files within insurance software and uploading required data and documents
    • Issuing new policies and confirmation of cover letters
    • Obtain quotes (amendments and new business) and comparison quotes from insurers
    • Follow up on unpaid premiums and complete record of advice forms

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years experience as a Commercial Underwriter at a brokerage
    • RE 5 
    • FAIS Compliant
    • Have a passion for client services, excel in attention to detail, and aim to exceed expectations
