Site Supervisor (Mechanical) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum Grade 12
• Relevant Red Seal
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a plant maintenance, repair and installation of equipment environment of which preferably 2 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
• Experience in fault finding and repair on mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Lead a team and take responsibility for work to be done on sites
• Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on site
• Ensure work is completed according to engineering drawings, specifications, and project standards
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and safe working practices
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to achieve project objectives
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards
• Must have a broad knowledge of Conveyor Belts, Gearboxes, Fluid drives, Bearings, Pumps, and Screens
• Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
