Snr Engineering Technician: Planning: ENER19452 at City of Ekurhuleni

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma (N/T/S) or NQF level 6 in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
• Valid Code B Driver's licence
• 2 years' experience in municipal electrical distribution network planning and design

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, design and upgrade existing and new development network plans
• Attend to queries and applications for services from various service providers
• Plan and determine costs for service connection and streetlight infrastructure
• Monitor the construction of new developments, electrification project, street and high master lighting as well as construction of substations
• Co-ordinate and monitor projects in line with the IDP processes for the specific area
• Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements.
• Comply with budget costs, financial regulations, minimize expenditure and prevent financial loses
• Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through provision of effective service delivery
• Maintain professional interaction and ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times
