Minimum Requirements: National Senior Certificate plus a recognized bachelor’s degree in social work. Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP) as a social worker. Interest in the field of Mental Health.
Knowledge of appropriate policies, guidelines and legislation. Good communication skills, decision making skills, problem solving, negotiate, counsel, advise and influence employees and basic computer literacy. Knowledge to deal with staff challenges and process the referral and placement to appropriate disciplines and facilities.
Flexible to assist in demand areas. EAP experience will be an added advantage. Applicant should be prepared to undergo medical surveillance.
Duties :
Provide Psycho-social and Mental Health services to Employees and their families. Psycho-social Assessment/ Screening of Employees and families in regards to their circumstance.
Home visits. Intervention, Counsel, debrief through casework, group work. Function as a member of the multi professional team. Assist with court referrals. Assist with student training.
Engage in continuous professional development and in service training. Compile reports and comprehensive record keeping. Perform administrative tasks of the program and the department.
Compliance to Privacy and Confidentiality. Involve multidisciplinary team where necessary. Establish and facilitate different sport codes within legal framework, Lower Presenteeism and Absenteeism. Conduct training, counseling, Debriefing, and Program marketing. Provide consultation, and involve appropriate disciplines including employee health and productivity programs, Nutritional, Occupational Therapy and not limited to other stakeholders.
Organize workshops, seminars, teams, leagues, runs/walks, wellness fairs and special events. Conduct Staff satisfactory. . Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (Contracting, reviews and final assessment).
