    Medical Specialist – Anesthesia

    Requirements :

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent. MBBCh/ MBCHB, Medical Specialist in Anesthesia– MMED Anesthesia and FCOG and active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Anesthesia.
    • Grade 1- experience not applicable, registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Anesthesia.
    • Grade 2- 5 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Anaesthesia. Grade 3- 10 years’.
    • Inherent requirements of the job: Participate in the after-hours call system (Commuted overtime is compulsory).

    Laundry Worker

    Requirements :

    • Minimum Requirements: Abet level 2 or equivalent. Basic knowledge of the Legislative framework related to laundry services. Knowledge of laundry / linen services. Sewing knowledge will be an added advantage.

    • Operate the rinsing machines, sorting and packing the linen in the linen bank. Loading and offloading of clean linen from laundry trucks. Hanging curtains in wards, report broken or damaged curtain rails and mend torn linen. Completion of daily work activities on laundry control list. Adhere to timelines.
    • Partake in linen inventory counting and cleaning of linen trolleys. Assist in other linen section duties per request of supervisors. Execute legal instructions by supervisor / management.

    Requirements :

    • Minimum requirement: Abet level 2 or equivalent.     Operator (CSSD)

    Requirements :

    • Minimum Requirement: NQF level 2 or Grade 10 certificate or equivalent. Appropriate experience in Public Service. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and the Minister’s six priority areas.

Malfunctioning instruments to be removed from the sets and reported for repairs or condemning. Cleaning and care of Autoclaves. Perform A test and Bowie-dick test before using the Autoclaves.
    • Load and off-loading of autoclaved items. Sterile sets and packs to be properly packed according to protocol after being autoclaved. Mops to be washed and soaked to prevent transmission of infection from one area to another.
    • Check and re-sterilize all expired items (sets & packs). Sterilized packs to be available at all times. Issuing and recording of sterile items to Theatre and other departments.
    • Proper procedure of receiving soiled items from all relevant departments to be followed. Proper handling and control of linen. Receive, count and pack clean linen into damp dusted shelves.
    • Linen shortages to be reported to the person in charge. Torn/damaged linen to be placed inside the bag and marked accordingly for attendance. Adhere to Health Waste and Management Policy. Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (Contracting, reviews and final assessment).

    Social Worker Wellness (Contract)

    Requirements :

    • Minimum Requirements: National Senior Certificate plus a recognized bachelor’s degree in social work. Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP) as a social worker. Interest in the field of Mental Health.
    • Knowledge of appropriate policies, guidelines and legislation.     Occupational Therapist (Sessional)

    Requirements :

    • Minimum Requirements: National Senior Certificate plus a recognized bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, proof of current registration with the HPCSA . knowledge of PFMA, PILIR, public health policies and legislation.
