What do we do?
A day in the life of a Derivco Software Architect typically includes the following:

• Systems Analysis and Design: Conducting design sessions with technical leads and developers, performing high-level investigations, analysis & designs for solutions to meet challenging business needs.
• Safeguard our Architecture: Reviewing architectures and designs, identifying and driving initiatives to improve our software at a system-wide level.
• Provide Consulting Services: Collaborating with various parts of the business, we are immersed in the teams!
• Architectural Leadership: Providing architectural and technological guidance to development and IT teams as well as Mentoring of Senior Developers and IT Specialists
• Innovation: Identify and research technologies that could improve our software, identify opportunities for growth or improvement & propose potential solutions, proving value to stakeholders!

Skills And Experience

• At least 6 years of technical expertise in a technology used extensively throughout our system, e.g. C++, SQL, C#, .NET, web services
• 2 years of expertise architecting systems of substantial complexity
• Understanding of various Software Methodologies
• 3 years expertise in a domain-specific to one of our products, e.g. Casino Server, Web, Poker, Viper Client, Casper (preferred)
• Must have worked on a large Business Intelligence (BI) installation (preferred for Database Specialization)
• Undergraduate diploma/degree (preferred
