We are seeking a Software Engineering Lead to guide and support a collaborative team of engineers. In this role, you will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders including product, support, and management to deliver high‑quality solutions and foster a positive team environment.
You will balance hands‑on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring, prioritization, and decision‑making. Effort distribution typically includes implementation, project coordination, and team leadership, though this may shift depending on team needs.
You will help shape the team’s technical direction, promote effective engineering practices, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and growth‑oriented workspace.
Responsibilities
Oversee release management, including test planning, rollback planning, communication, and release documentation.
Support resource planning and administrative activities such as scheduling, performance conversations, and career development check‑ins.
Lead project coordination activities, including agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and stakeholder engagement.
Provide technical leadership in solution design, implementation quality, engineering best practices, and team coaching.
Develop and maintain technical, operational, and resource plans to support long‑term stability and improvement.
Assist with escalated queries routed to the development team.
Contribute to hands‑on development, including coding, automation testing, and DevOps tasks, as well as reviewing new features and enhancements.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and product.
Requirements
Experience serving as a senior software engineer or solutions architect, including mentoring other engineers.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles (e.g., SOLID) and industry best practices.
Proficiency in SQL, C#, .NET, Angular, Git, and Azure pipelines.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative team environments and support healthy team dynamics.
Strong organizational, planning, and change‑management skills.
