Research and develop new algorithms modelling the behaviour of PV system components in response to ongoing technological developments and industry best practices; collaborating with other DNV PV specialists and stakeholders
Lead and publish techincal articles; fostering a personal network with customers, academics & colleagues through Linked-In and key industry events
Gain a deep familiarity with and take ownership of the calculation chain in the SolarFarmer software, consistently evaluating its performance (accuracy and speed) and proposing enhancements as appropriate
Work closely with software development team on implementation, testing and optimisation
Test and validate new models as they are developed
As a member of the S olarFarmer leadership team, provide input to the SolarFarmer product plan to define the future direction of the product, anticipating changes in the market and staying abreast of emerging innovations in PV projects technology and best practice
Engage with DNV consultancy staff and external clients to present SolarFarmer capabilities and assimilate feature requests
Participate in development team meetings, including daily scrums, sprint reviews and planning events.
Position Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification (PhD is welcome)
Fluent spoken and written English
5 years of experience in PV modelling and analysis
Comfortable with review and prototyping of calculation code in C#, C++ and Python
