Job Description

Atos is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Solutions Architect with a strong background in Apigee and related technologies to lead the design and implementation of our client’s enterprise API management platform.

Mission/Role Purpose

• The successful candidate will work closely with our IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to architect, design, and implement enterprise-scale solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• The Enterprise architect will work with the client to define the strategic direction of the underlying business architecture, which then leads to an understanding of what technology facilities are needed to support that architecture.
• The Enterprise architect will help guide and build recommended systems and upgrades to meet our client’s needs. The Enterprise architect will be assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff and end customer to recommend solutions to improve it. The Enterprise architect will also help resolving technical problems as they arise.
   

Responsibilities  

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise API management platform using Apigee and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise API strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture, and integration points.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations on adoption and implementation.
• Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to other team members.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to development teams.
   

Skills

• API design and development: Knowledge of RESTful API design and development, including best practices for versioning, documentation, and testing.
• Apigee platform expertise: Proficiency in Apigee, including Apigee Edge, Apigee API Platform, and Apigee Developer Portal, as well as knowledge of API management concepts and techniques.
• Security and authentication: Understanding of API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Performance monitoring and optimization: Ability to monitor and analyze API performance metrics and implement optimizations to improve performance and scalability.
• Cloud infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, as well as experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, and to provide root-cause analysis to prevent future issues.
• Continuous integration and deployment: Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, including automated testing and deployment.
• Can propose multiple complex solutions to meet the expected deadlines.
• Working in management roles as Tech Lead, Project Coordinator with a team of 10+ developers.
• Driving meetings with customers, tasks estimations and prioritization, requirements analysis and prioritization, planning, delegation, project documentation.
   

Experience  

• Proficiency in Apigee, including Apigee Edge, Apigee API Platform, and Apigee Developer Portal.
• Experience with API design, development, and deployment using RESTful web services.
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with API monitoring, analytics, and reporting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience in pre-sales, project discovery, RFP and RFI, architecture design and documentation.
• Continuous development using agile methodologies: 5+ years’ experience in Kanban and 5+ years in Scrum.
   

Education

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Certified Google Cloud Architect and Apigee certified API Engineer.
• At least 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on API management and related technologies.
• Results-oriented, highly motivated IT professional with at least 5 years of production experience in Middleware and Financial domains.
• Full software development lifecycle from scratch, architecture design, and documentation.
