Solutions Architect at Access Bank

Requirements

SOLUTIONS DESIGN:

• Responsible for designing new solutions and documenting deliverables (Product team, IT team, business heads, Operations and Audit).
• Drafting of architectures for new, existing and project deliverables.
• Engagement with the development team and optimize the value of the work they perform.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:

• Coordinate technology decisions with other Product owners, Business Owners and development teams to ensure standards are adhered to.
• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to build a deep understanding of product requirements, analyze customer business needs and translate into product solutions.

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:

• Participate in refining and approve requirements from your product team colleagues (user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, in scope and out of scope criteria, test cases).
• Be part of the release planning and drive the release through user acceptance testing and stakeholder approval for release.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

• Reporting Requirements Specification.
• Solution design and documentation.
• Testing and release management

Academic Knowledge:

• Tertiary level qualification (BSc Computer Science/BCom informatics) or 3 years Diploma/Degree in Information Technology. TOGAF and cloud (AWS or Azure) certification

Work Experience:

• 5+ years' experience in IT Delivery, including a minimum of 2+ years' experience in architecture
• 4+ years' experience in solution design
• 4+ years' experience as a Solutions Architect
• Financial Services experience
• Experience must be in designing end-to-end and full stack
• End-to-end - able to design solution, which includes all components, ensuring that all end users are services correctly in production
• Full stack - able to design for each component within the solution addressing the functional (application), non-functional (platform) and infrastructure and cloud services
• Experience implementing Microservices architecture and ESB solutions
