Certified Beauty Therapy Diploma/Certificate, with a minimum of 1 year of formal Beauty Therapy training from a recognised institution.
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Beauty Therapist, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, day spa or high-end wellness environment.
Recognised qualifications in relevant beauty and spa treatments, including facials, body treatments, massage, waxing and other applicable treatments.
Previous experience working with a professional skincare or spa brand is advantageous, with ESPA experience or training being highly beneficial.
Sound knowledge of professional skincare products, treatment protocols, contraindications and appropriate aftercare recommendations.
Ability to conduct thorough client consultations, identify client needs and tailor treatments according to individual requirements.
Excellent understanding and application of health, safety, hygiene and sterilisation standards within a professional spa environment.
Strong knowledge of luxury guest service standards, with the ability to consistently deliver a personalised and professional five-star experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests and colleagues.
Confident in recommending appropriate treatments, products and packages, with a genuine interest in achieving retail and treatment sales targets.
Ability to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and repeat business while maintaining a genuine, guest-focused approach.
Professional appearance, excellent grooming standards and a consistently polished presentation in line with luxury hotel and spa requirements.
Strong attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage treatment schedules effectively and maintain treatment rooms to the required standards.
Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a multidisciplinary spa team.
Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and peak operational periods as required by the business.
Must demonstrate a professional attitude, reliability, punctuality and a genuine passion for the beauty, wellness and hospitality industry.
Commitment to ongoing learning and development, including attending brand, product, treatment and operational training as required.
ESPA product knowledge and/or formal ESPA training will be considered an advantage.
Knowledge of working within a Forbes Five-Star or other luxury hospitality environment would be advantageous
