    Specialist Business Integration

    Job Description:
    As Specialist Business Integration you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Oversee the smooth running of the Programme Management Office, managing the PMO Team to ensure their deliverables are met (including coaching and training of subordinates where required).
    • Manage the application of and approval for any additional PMO budget requirements.
    • Assist the Business Integration Manager in defining Initiative scope resourcing and high-level timings for new Initiatives as part of the broader strategic agenda at Kumba.
    • Work alongside the Business Integration Manager to input into prioritising Strategic Initiatives.
    • Coordinate and report on the progress of Level 5 Strategic Initiatives.
    • Assist with Strategic Initiatives, communication, and “Vision”.
    •  Provide recommendations to the Business Integration Manager on initiatives to be added/removed from the strategic agenda as appropriate.
    • Advise Initiative Leads on removing roadblocks preventing progress.
    • Hold Initiative leads accountable for adhering to their agreed-upon activities and milestones.
    • Manage the day-to-day relationship with external providers and knowledge specialists as required.
    • This role is in the Technical & Strategy (T&S) at a Band 6 level reporting to the Manager Business Integration.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • BEng, BTech, BSc or Bachelor's degree (Mining, Processing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Geosciences)
    • Postgraduate qualification in Business or Engineering Management (NQF8) will be advantageous
    • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will be advantageous
    • SA Drivers Licence Code B

    Experience  

    • 6-8 years of relevant experience in identifying and implementing business improvement opportunities and projects at mines.
    • Advanced knowledge of the Anglo American Operating model (esp. Operational Planning process).
    •  Advanced knowledge of mining (preferably open-pit), processing or engineering industry.
    • Advanced knowledge of key value drivers across the mining value chain and the interdependence therein.
    • Advanced Computer Literacy (MS Office, Projects, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    •  Knowledge of the mining industry and relevant legislation, including the Mine Health and Safety Act.
    • Knowledge of Mathematical and Statistical skills to help gather, measure, organise and analyse data.
    • Knowledge of basic financial metrics, cost, value management and budgeting tools.
    • Experience in applying Project management fundamentals.
    • Experience in strategy implementation and business planning.
    • Good knowledge of new technologies and their impact on operational activities.
    • Good knowledge of change management methodologies
