Job Description

CSO Detect: Cyber Threat Hunting

• To collaborate with threat intelligence analysts to identify priority cyber threats, designing and executing cyber hunts.
• Hunting for threats, anomalies and cyber-related disruptions on the Absa network
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to help detect new, interesting or unique threats and mitigations based on hunting observations
• Performing threat analysis, deep-dives and incident assessments
• Conducting research and presenting threat briefings

Education and experience required

• Minimum B-degree (Maths, Computer & Life Sciences) (NQF Level 7) | Advanced Diplomas in Cyber
• At least 5 years’ experience in the field of Cybersecurity and/or Technology

Knowledge and skills

• Ability to operate in high performing teams across culturally diverse and geographically separated locations
• Leadership skills – ability to encourage, engage, empower, and deliver
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Python, PHP, Perl, or similar scripting languages
