    Job Advert Summary    

    • Join Exxaro Resources as a Specialist in Employee Relations & Compliance in Limpopo, a role pivotal for spearheading key initiatives in employee relations and compliance. This permanent position offers the opportunity to drive wellness programs and align operational processes with group strategies. Core responsibilities encompass managing budgets, ensuring adherence to health management guidelines, and overseeing labour compliance. Your expertise in providing strategic advice on labour relations policies and fostering partnerships to enhance wellness functions will be critical. You'll also be responsible for conducting compliance audits and developing strategies to cultivate a positive employee relations climate. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in compliance, governance, and budget management.     Minimum Requirements    

    • BCom Human Resources Management (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate in Industrial Relations (Essential/Minimum or)
    • Certificate in Labour Relations (Essential/Minimum)
    • Certificate in First Line Management (Recommended/ Desirable)
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in People and Performance, Employee Relations, and negotiations within a labour law environment
    • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
    • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
    • Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and assurance processes
    • Previous experience in budget management and cost control
    • Proficiency in developing and implementing employee relations strategies and policies
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with management and external partners

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Manage and control budget allocations to ensure adherence to approved expenditures and assist in budget compilation based on operational needs.
    • Ensure compliance with health management standards and risk management related to labour compliance, statutory requirements, and corporate governance.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor Employee Relations and Compliance strategies, policies, and principles in alignment with Group strategy and legislative requirements.
    • Provide expert advisory services and professional customer support regarding compliance and wellness within the Business Unit environment.
    • Conduct compliance audits and analyse market trends to recommend improvements in Employee Relations and compliance practices.
    • Collaborate with third-party partners to enhance wellness functions and foster positive stakeholder relationships.
    • Develop training materials and conduct sessions to inform employees and management about changes in compliance and Employee Relations legislation.
    • Analyse Employee Relations data to identify trends and provide strategic input, creating actionable plans to address potential areas of concern.
    • Promote open communication, inclusivity, and a safe work culture, ensuring adherence to Safety Health and Environmental policies.
    • Facilitate engagement and dialogue within the team, addressing conflicts and promoting a collaborative environment.
