    Specialist: Learning and Development

    JOB DESCRIPTION
     
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    •        Training and development planning and coordination
    •        Training management and quality assurance
    •        Coaching and mentoring programs
    •        Skills development and study administration  
    •        Leadership/ management development programs
    •        Training needs assessment and training evaluation
    •        Interaction with the SETA and training service providers
    •        Competency development and modelling
    •        Induction and in-house training and development interventions facilitation
    •        Training policy and strategy execution

    Minimum requirements
    Qualifications

    •        Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and related fields is essential (NQF 7)

    Experiences

    •        3 years’ experience as a Specialist in Relevant Industry is essential
    •        3 years’ experience in Professional Leadership  

    ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES

    •        3 years’ experience in Higher education will be desirable
    •        ETDP Accreditation will be added advantage
    •        SABPP membership is desirable

     
    KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

    •        Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
    •        Organizational awareness
    •        Knowledge of HRD policy, procedures and discipline
    •        Extensive knowledge and practical application of relevant legislation impacting on learning and development (LRA, SDA, SLA, SAQA etc.)
    •        Coordinate skills development compliance and alignment with SDA, NQF, NSDS, HRDS-SA, ETDP SETA and other SETA's requirements
    •        Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who has the ability to be proactive
    •        Can act independently on own initiatives while simultaneously being a team player
    •        Ability to work well under pressure and act in a disciplined manner
    •        Has excellent planning, organizing and controlling skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
    •        Computer literacy and presentation skills
