Specialist Mathematics Teacher (Grade 7) at SAHETI School

The duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

• A recognized teaching qualification with a specialisation in Primary Education and/or Mathematics;
• Proven experience in teaching primary school mathematics with a track record of Grade 7 Mathematics teaching;
• A passion for mathematics and the ability to inspire and engage young learners;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a personality suited to a community-focused environment;
• Leadership abilities and experience in mentoring or leading a team of educators would be advantageous;
• Current and Valid Registration with SACE;
• Computer literacy and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching and learning;
• Current teaching experience in an ISASA school;
• Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of SAHETI School.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to primary school students;
• Develop innovative lesson plans that build confidence and excitement for mathematics;
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity;
• Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow educators, sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative teaching environment.
• Engage with parents and the community to support student learning and development;
• Participate actively in all school activities and contribute to the community spirit;
• Monitor and support pastoral care of pupils;
• Engage and participate in the reflection and staff development process of the School.
