As a Specialist Mining Studies, your role will be pivotal in supporting the company's transformation journey. You will be responsible for advancing numerous studies from Concept through to Feasibility in a range of commodities and jurisdictions. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised in critically evaluating identified opportunities, providing alternative approaches, and understanding the financial assumptions on projects. Your commitment to safety will ensure the consistent application of Safety & Health principles across all disciplines.
Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions
Support business case development by identifying and understanding the full resource extraction value chain
Critically evaluate identified opportunities and provide alternative approaches
Understand the financial assumptions and models on projects being presented for approval
Support the development of the mine operating and capital cost models with appropriate benchmarking and peer review
Conduct high level optimisation exercises in the different study stages
Deliver clear and concise study documentation
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Specialist Mining Studies role will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in the mining industry. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or other relevant discipline, you have spent at least 4 years honing your technical skills. Your advanced knowledge in integrated mine planning approach, mine design, and mine planning software sets you apart from others. Your ability to produce clear and concise study documentation demonstrates your attention to detail.
