Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Enrolled Nurse.
Experience:
Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts and after-hours including weekends, public holidays and night duty. Willingness to rotate to other departments. Ability to lift and turn patients, stand for long hours and lift heavy equipment.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of Nursing Practices. Knowledge of Infection Prevention Control, control measures and practices. Ability to interpret basic clinical signs and symptoms. Basic computer literacy.
DUTIES :
Development and implementation of basic patient care. Provide basic clinical nursing care. Effective utilization of physical and financial resources. Maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development.
