Stock Controller at RAIN

The Stock Controller ensures that stored stock items are safeguarded, correct, accurate and available to end-users at all times. They are required to take delivery of ordered goods from external and internal suppliers and check and approve delivery as per as the purchase order and invoice and coordinate direct and indirect stock into the correct section. They issue direct stock to internal departments based on purchase order request and captures and updates good received information into the system.

Key Performance Areas:

KPI 1: Stock Receipts and Dispatch

• Dispatch all orders correctly and within deadlines
• Receive stock / IEBS and input data into the system
• Review the system queue and to dispatch all the orders for the day as per Service Level Agreements (SLAS)
• Count all stock received before accepting it as well as note any deviations
• Coordinate the receiving, compiling and dispatching of all LTE roll out equipment to various contractors
• Administration of large orders for resellers – capture IEB and ICC numbers on the spreadsheet and submit to manager
• Conduct Stock taking weekly as required

KPI 2: Stock Testing and Activation

• Check power supplies, check it is operational / test and Insert sim cards / and test routers on receipt
• Package the merchandise and prepare for dispatch
• Activate sim cards post-dispatch and to update stock quantities (IEB and Sim number into the system to activate)
• Test faulty modems and ensuring that the client receives replacement within the shortest time possible
• Managing and updating tickets on a daily basis
• Receive, test and package all modems and routers before dispatching them

KPI 3: Faulty Merchandise and Returns

• Ensure that testing of equipment, both new and faulty is done according instructions provided
• Deals with Return of Merchandise by administrating the ticket system
• Issues with clients modems are returned to the warehouse, stock controllers conduct 1st line testing and determine if should be sent to Head Office for further testing
• Should modem be faulty then replace the modem through updated ticket
• To facilitate delivery and collection requests
• Ensure all customers queries and tickets are resolved within the given time frame
