Storeman (Cape Town) at Mustek Limited

Purpose:

• The Storeman is responsible for receiving, storage and issuing goods to ensure uninterrupted supply of required stock to the Company and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer the daily movement and storage of stock, ensuring 100% accuracy at all times.
• Picking, packing and distributing orders accurately, efficiently and on time, where necessary personally delivering to Dispatch if clients are waiting.
• Carry out weekly cycle check counts and report stock discrepancies to supervisor.
• Save handling of all stock to ensure 0% damages.
• Maintain effective and correct shelving arrangement with correct item codes displayed.
• Assist with internal enquiries.
• Receive, store and issue goods against orders.
• Check goods received against orders placed on suppliers.
• Ensure the right quantity and quality is received.

Requirements
Qualification and Experience:

• Matric
• At least 1 year’s applicable warehouse/stores experience in ICT 

Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic mathematics principles
• Stock taking
• Inventory keeping
• Correct handling to prevent damage
• Correct packing and shelving
• Health and safety
• Best storage practices to mitigate risk in terms of damage, loss of stock.
• Use of systems and information technology.
