    Subsidiary Accountant

    The Finance: General Accounting team currently seeks to appoint a Subsidiary Accountant !

    In this role your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

    • Preparing monthly management accounts
    • Producing CaseWare AFS for Affiliates
    • Compiling board pack presentation
    • Reconciling intercompany balances
    • Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared within the set deadlines
    • Reviewing balance sheet open items & ensure they are closed timeously
    • Performing monthly departmental KPI’s
    • Compiling, analyzing and reviewing journal entries from business
    • Ensuring bank account & bank statement reconciliations are prepared accurately
    • Performing income statement and balance sheet analysis
    • Calculating intercompany charges and their billing
    • Preparing and providing information for audit (Internal and external) requests and liaise with auditors on queries
    • Attending ad-hoc requests from management
    • Reviewing of financial information performed by the shared service centre


    • To ensure constant adherence and compliance to company HSEQ and security standard, local bylaws, standards and legislation to minimise all risk pertaining to company assets and protection life.

    Contexte et Environnement

    • Technical : Large volume of transactions that require attention and complex entries that require appropriate technical knowledge.
    • Risk : High value transactions requiring valid supporting documents and appropriate levels of authorization to ensure that all entries are authorised and valid. Accuracy is imperative to ensure all entries are accurate and complete.

    • Excellent computer literacy and experience in MS office applications MS Excel is essential
    • Good knowledge of SAP
