Superintendent Production Plant Processing and Logistics - Wessels Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a permanent full-time position.
As a superintendent production plant processing and logistics, you will be responsible for managing the production process related to plants and logistics, while maintaining safety standards at Surface Plants and Load Out Station.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

•  Leads, coaches and mentors team members to ensure safe delivery against performance targets.
•  Monitors expectations, understanding and application of Production Execution processes within the team to support compliance with legislative requirements.
•  Contributes to the preparation of the inputs to inform the safety and production budget.
•  Coordinates and guides Supervisors in the execution of the week 0 schedule;
•  Endorses, leads the execution and monitors effectiveness of production execution improvement initiatives with support from Production Analysis & Improvement;
•  Guides Coordinators in the optimization of equipment via Process Control Systems.
•  Manages the integrity of the data captured in Process Control Systems.
•  Manage the execution of the Monthly Production Plan (Plan Compliance) and report reasons for deviation in the weekly and monthly planning report.
•  Coordination with TFR and internal Logistics teams
•  Provides input into the initiation of strategic projects and ensure key deliverables are met.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

•  Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Mining or Processing Environment;
•  At least 2 years at least in a supervisory capacity;
•  Knowledge working on SAP and MS Office Suite

Qualifications for this role are:

•  Degree or BTECH in Mining or Metallurgy or Chemical engineering.
