    Supermarket Manager

    • To manage the stock replenishment and merchandising in store ensuring that shelves are kept full
    • Manage the receiving of stock and control thereof
    • To ensure that aged stock is minimised / returns to suppliers are done
    • Ensure that Safety requirements are met in terms of stacking and lifting etc
    • To manage the shelf edge pricing and signage are present and correct
    • To ensure delivery of the product range is cost effective to ensure competiveness and achievement of category margins.
    • Manage and control weekly stocktakes
    • To ensure departments are adhering to set standards with regard to hygiene, consistency and waste controls
    • To co-ordinate recruitment of new employees, training and development, and staff scheduling
    • To assist supervisors with staff discipline
    • Dealing with staff issues and thereafter reporting these issues to the Store Manager
    • To ensure all perishables are managed in terms of cold chain and required procedures and standards.
    • To ensure legislative compliance with Department of Health.
