Job Description

• The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the effective coordination and planning of the production process on a daily basis.
• This includes the planning and implementation of the production schedule as well as the management of staff to optimise productivity, quality and food safety.

• This includes the planning and implementation of the production schedule as well as the management of staff to optimise productivity, quality and food safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the production process and limit the production of non-conforming product that can lead to losses.
• Receive daily stock of raw material, pre-mixes and packaging bags according to production schedule.
• Prepare provisional production schedule 3 days in advance, considering existing stock levels.
• If deviation in orders occur, re-schedule production accordingly.
• Verify raw materials according to recipes, quantities, schedule and different product ranges.
• Continuously monitor efficiencies of personnel and equipment.
• Monitor adherence to planned maintenance standards and schedule down times accordingly.
• Perform weekly inventory counts and reconcile deviations.
• Ensure that production process from raw material to finished product is in accordance with quality and food safety specifications and standards.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements as per standards and procedures.

Skills Required

• Previous experience in a supervisory role will serve as recommendation.
• 2 - 4 years experience
• Grade 12/ NQF 4.
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Clear Criminal Record
• Proficient in the MS Office package.
