Supply Chain Accountant at Engen

Purpose of the Job:

To manage sales invoicing and payments within Supply Chain (product and other) and to provide management accounting information to meet the objectives of enhancing profitability

What you’ll have done before:

Baseline:

• NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Commerce/Finance/Business or related)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance environment 
• SAP experience
• Proficient in Excel
• Demonstrate strength in financial accounting/IFRS

Advantageous:

• 3 years Supply Chain experience 
• Good understanding of taxation

• Collaborate with various business operations in order to provide accurate billings and payments each month end
• Gain a deeper understanding of the Supply Chain and exchanges between Engen and Other Oil Companies 
• Deliver excellence, amidst tight deadlines 

What you’ll be doing:

• Creditors reconciliations
• Credit management
• Ensuring that monthly profits are accurate and complete
• Monthly clearing of Customer and Vendor accounts, and GR/IR accounts
• Build and manage sustainable relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure efficient business operations
• Prepare profitability reports and analysis and adhoc reports to ensure management and relevant parties are informed at all times
