Switchboard/Receptionist - REF: STCBOARD- JW382/2023 at Johannesburg Water

PURPOSE

• To promote and ensure efficient and effective communication between staff, public and stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend to incoming calls, and re-direct the calls to the relevant personnel on a daily basis.
• Answer and transfer calls to relevant extension, daily.
• Handle a constant flow of irate customers. Report faulty lines. Make outgoing calls on behalf of staff. 
• Welcome walk-in customers daily, establish the cause of the problem and refer them to the relevant managers.
• Audit complaints on SAP, daily. 
• Sign for received deliveries and forward to the relevant staff.
• Monitor incoming fax.
• Take monthly readings for the fax and copy machine and send them to the service provider.
• Monitor the use / abuse of copier and fax.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 (NQF 4)
• 1 year experience in an office environment. 
• Switchboard and reception skills. 
• Good command of written and spoken English.
