    Systems Administrator / Analyst

    Description
    As Systems Administrator / Analyst, you will contribute to Caterpillar’s success by debugging, and improving programs to facilitate effective use of local or corporate systems for the Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC).

    Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

    • Working on local or corporate systems. Developing, where required and improving assigned programs.
    • Contributing to the design of local or corporate computer systems. Working with programs, with a growing concern for systems testing and evaluation and familiarity with computer hardware and interfacing of hardware. Working with seasoned systems professionals as apprentices to become prepared for more full-time systems work. Performing most work in a lead position for all aspects of program development.
    • Working with software vendor who are developing programs for Caterpillar. Providing the design, coding, testing, and debugging of programs to enable users to retrieve information in a usable format. Providing assistance and training to programmers.
    • Developing and testing programs to effectively function in the various departments of Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC). Working together with other Systems Admins and Analysts as a team to meet the standards set forth in the by the Department Manager

    Qualifications
    Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
    Candidates Must Demonstrate The Following Experience

    • MS SQL Server Administration and Windows Server Administration.
    • SQL query language.
    • MS Office – advanced Excel and Access skills.
    • Knowledge of Tableau/Power BI for reporting and data sharing
    • Experience with the phases of software development lifecycle – requirements and design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
    • Knowledge of procedures and operations of the functional business areas.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of data processing philosophies and techniques.
    • Ability to identify systems deficiencies and recommend and develop new software/programs to correct the deficiencies.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of computer operations systems.
    • Knowledge of computer software and how to implement such software.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain an environment conducive to collaboration across corporate business units and service divisions.

    Education

    • A college or university degree and must be familiar with various programming languages and able to demonstrate programming experience.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Knowledge of leasing/financing business processes
    • Knowledge of Active Directory
    • Understanding of and ability to apply complex programming languages and other advanced development tools.
