Job Description

• The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for converting complex business and technical requirements into robust, scalable, API‑driven and cloud‑ready solution designs. The role requires deep technical understanding, strong systems thinking, and accountability for solution integrity within the Java and integration ecosystem. This analyst leads technical analysis, shapes integration patterns, ensures cross‑system compatibility, and contributes to solution design decisions that impact strategic platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Solution Ownership

• Lead API‑driven integration design, ensuring interfaces are well‑defined, secure and fit for purpose.
• Analyse and design enhancements to Java-based backend systems, understanding service behaviour and dependencies.
• Own data and integration design, including data models, mappings and persistence considerations.
• Translate business and technical requirements into clear solution designs, diagrams and specifications.

Analysis, Risk & Quality

• Conduct technical requirement assessments and identify risks or impacts across systems.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, security, scalability and compliance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in system efficiency, processes and integration patterns.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with architects, developers, testers, product teams and business stakeholders.
• Support Agile delivery through design inputs, clarifications and documentation.
• Foster knowledge sharing, teamwork, cross-functional alignment and customer‑centric thinking.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure solutions support reliable operations and strong customer experience.
• Compile reports, track progress and support decision-making.
• Manage risks and ensure adherence to governance, audit and quality standards.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong API design experience (REST, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Solid understanding of Java / Spring / backend service architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in relational and/or NoSQL data stores and data analysis.
• Familiarity with system logs, tracing, monitoring and debugging concepts.
