    Systems Project Manager

    What will this position entail?


    Operational management 

    • Implement policy, planning, and strategy decisions as defined by the national systems strategy. 
    • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures. 
    • Assist and oversee the planning and execution of short- and long-term departmental goals. 
    • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the department. 
    • Coordinate priorities for the staff in the department. 
    • Providing administrative support to head of department as needed. 
    • Coordinate and oversee short- and long-term objectives of the department. 

    Project management 

    • Ensuring project deadlines are met. 
    • Adapting project plans to changes in requirements and scope. 
    • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project. 
    • Identify and assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable. 
    • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution. 
    • Maintain a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objectives. 
    • Developing project strategies, maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditures. 

    Reporting and administration 

    • Assist with feedback and reporting of departmental goals and objectives. 
    • Where applicable, assist in the performance management, and training and improvement programs execution for the department. 
    • Organising, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings. 
    • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings. 
    • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings. 

    Work and Competency requirements:

    • At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in project management. 
    • Experience in administering SharePoint and MS Office 365 would be an advantage.
    • Experience in project management and ticket management tools. 
    • Ability to build consensus and relationships among teams, stakeholders and peers. 

    Excellent presentation skills. 

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
    • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
