To succeed in this role, you need a solid foundation of technical credentials. A relevant Lab Assistant qualification and HPCSA registration as a Lab Assistant are essential. It would be beneficial if you can bring a first-line management qualification or certification, equipping you to lead with confidence and clarity. Your experience will speak volumes about your ability to lead. You have spent three or more years in a bench lead or similar senior role, guiding a section within a larger laboratory environment. You understand what it takes to maintain high-quality standards, manage stock and sections, and keep expenses in check. More importantly, you have demonstrated how to steer a team towards seamless operations while nurturing their growth and performance.

You are comfortable navigating HPCSA regulations and SANAS accreditation processes, and you have a working knowledge of labour and safety legislation.
