    Job Description
    ROLE SUMMARY

    • To develop and motivate team members to deliver quality parts using Ford Production Systems.
    • Administer Body Production & Process to Deliver on Objectives
    • Monitor line stoppages, maintenance stops and report to root cause owner
    • Drive FRC, FTT, JPH achievement and escalation of concerns

    POSITION DETAILS

    Responsibilities / Accountabilities

    General 

    • Monitor Safety, Quality, and Delivery in line with objectives by following standardized work, with a primary focus on ensuring vehicles meet final quality and aesthetic standards on the bolt-on line.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality and final buy-off processes.
    • Any reasonable task that may be assigned to you.

    Safety 

    • Monitor compliance with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and correct any non-conformities within the inspection and buy-off areas.
    • Monitor work areas adherence to 5S standards of workplace organization, ensuring workstations are free of debris and contamination.

    Quality 

    • Lead and execute comprehensive quality inspections and final buy-off audits of all vehicles on the bolt-on line to ensure adherence to design specifications, aesthetic standards, and functional requirements.
    • Oversee detailed inspections of bolt-on components and completed assemblies at various phases of production on the bolt-on line.
    • Understand, adhere to, and continuously improve the Quality Operating System (QOS) and utilize provided tools to enhance product and process quality.
    • Identify, document, and categorize all quality defects, ensuring clear communication to relevant production and engineering teams for immediate corrective action.
    • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues identified on the bolt-on line and implement effective containment and permanent corrective actions (PCAs).
    • Ensure all quality gates and final buy-off criteria are met before vehicle progression to the next stage.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings, generating detailed quality reports for management and relevant departments.
    • Interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and data to confirm part conformance to product specifications.

    Delivery 

    • Conduct daily SQDCPME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, Environment) verifications / confirmations, heavily emphasizing Quality metrics.
    • Complete daily Standardized Work observation for quality inspection tasks. Monitor compliance with Operating Instruction Sheets (OIS) and correct any non-conformities.
    • React, Resolve, Track abnormalities (ANDON) related to quality concerns, and confirm closure of concerns.
    • Work collaboratively with production to ensure quality issues do not impede production flow while maintaining stringent quality standards.

    Cost 

    • Adhere to Time & Data Management to promote and support continuous improvement activities in the team.
    • Coordinate activities with Team Members to constructively utilize down time to continuously improve.

    People  

    • Communicate as required to perform job functions (such as safety, quality and productivity concerns that the Team cannot address).
    • Respect and encourage respect of all team members by example. Responsible for ensuring required training is met within the team, including classroom and on the job.
    • Learn all operations within area of responsibility and maintain all versatility training records within the team to verify each job has appropriate number of trained operators.

    Maintenance 

    • Reviewing FIS (Ford Information System) information and using it to improve quality line performance.
    • Raising of issues on the GPA (Global Problem Alert) system to relevant personnel and track that they are completed and closed on time.
    • Conduct inspections/certifications for critical, predictive, and preventive maintenance work that can be accomplished by the right person, focusing on quality equipment.
    • Work with team members to use downtime to perform planned maintenance assigned by the maintenance department, to be completed in the specified time for quality-critical tools

    Environment  

    • Monitor work areas adherence to EOS requirements including complying with environmental regulations and conserving natural resources (energy, water, materials).

    • Undertake root cause analysis and ensure Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA’s) are implemented.
    • Plan and execute maintenance activities in line with Maintenance Operating System (MOS).

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSA)

    • Knowledge of applicable Statutory and Regulatory requirements.

    • Be able to work in a team and with a team
    • Ability to convey accurate, detailed information verbally or in written form in English.
    • Accurately filling out daily reports e.g., Paynter charts, Corrective maintenance and so forth.
    • Ability to work autonomously, think analytically and to make sound judgements.

    Qualifications
    QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

    • N3 with a Trade Qualification in Engineering Mechatronics, Millwright, Electrical ,Mechanical . 
    • 3 Years’ experience in Automotive Manufacturing & Assembly.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • Knowledge of constraint management principles.
    • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook).
