Teamlead: Inventory/Systems at JD Group

Job Purpose

• Maintain Processes within the warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements.

 Education and Experience 

• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT), or a related degree or minimum of three (3) years of technical experience

 Required Job Competencies

• Developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures.
• Developing processes for receiving stock.

• Managing inventory and filing systems.
• Task Management (Picking, Put Away, Replenishment, Cycle Counts and investigations)
• Managing teams of inventory workers.
• Assessing and improving flows of supplies to determine shortages.
• Identifying, analyzing and addressing gaps in inventory processes.
• Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
• Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
• Evaluate new inventory to ensure it’s ready for shipment.
• Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems (Daily wave item clearing, Exception handling, Wave monitoring)
• Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
• Responsible for analyzing, implementing, operating and managing software, telecommunications, networks and computer systems through all phases of a life cycle.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s
• Responsible for information systems planning, installation, and maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades.
• Pallet control – Flag replacements of old pallets.
• Ensure no outstanding POD’s and Transit
• Balancing of SAP repair system and SAP EWM
• Managing system Exception (Put-Away exceptions, Picking exceptions, Replenishment exception and Put-Wall exceptions)
