Tech Officer: Driver - Midrand at BCX

Core Description

Responsible for driving a Company vehicle and loading and unloading goods. The incumbent will also be responsible for transporting goods to predetermined locations, performing general vehicle maintenance checks, keeping accurate records of mileage and general car maintenance.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Apply defensive driving when on the road, thus avoiding unnecessary and inconvenient breakdowns.
• Compile accurate delivery records and reports.
• Keep records of incoming and outgoing goods received.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for each trip to ensure on-time delivery.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or traffic violations to the company and law enforcement authorities. Where required and in accordance with company policy, produce an accident report for submission to line management.
• Collect information and packages from predetermined locations and subsequently transport them to intended location.
• Load and unload goods or equipment as needed, ensuring their safe handling and secure storage.

Minimum Qualifications

• NQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma
