Develop robust / scalable digital solutions by making use of built-in functionalities and focusing on front-end scripting.
Troubleshoot complex digital issues, identify the root cause and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
Ensure that complex client requirements / business rules are met when integrating applications into client websites.
Develop an understanding of how web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API calls, etc.) operate to retrieve data.
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, systems, and processes to address business requirements and deliver solutions.
Create / maintain clear and concise documentation that details client needs, technical specifications, etc.
What our client is looking for:
A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial but not essential
5+ years of experience in building, customising, and optimising WordPress websites.
Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and basic PHP and SQL for server-side integrations.
Solid understanding of client-server architecture and its impact on web development and performance.
Hands-on experience in interacting with RESTful APIs and managing data formats.
Understanding of SEO best practices, web traffic metrics, and optimization techniques.
Skilled at quickly identifying problems and proposing viable, effective solutions.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms and build strong relationships with clients and team members.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, tracking and reporting time using relevant software.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve website performance, usability, and functionality.
Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles to ensure user-friendly and visually appealing digital solutions.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive web experiences.
A solid understanding of the WordPress backend, including theme and plugin development.
Driven to keep learning and growing in the field, adapting to new technologies and trends to stay ahead of the curve.
Strong ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and challenging situations with composure.
Working hours:
This is a remote position and you will be working US hours.
Working hours: start at 4pm SA time and finish at 12m SA time.
