B.Tech is the preference.
A minimum of 2 years relevant technical/ textile industry experience – e.g., in technology, manufacturing processes. (Textile technology-related teaching or training experience in Higher Education, industry, or training institutions).
Sound knowledge of the technical aspects of yarn and fabric manufacturing, product engineering, including but not limited to fabric construction, quality, and raw materials.
Understanding of all equipment and systems in the above-related laboratories.
Sound communication skills –use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Summary of Duties:
Undertake tasks as directed by the Head of Department or the Academic in charge.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for laboratories, equipment, and consumables at all times.
Assist in the delivery of practical sessions, assessment of students’ practical work, and training of students in the correct and safe use of equipment to carry out tasks in a disciplined manner.
Manage the opening and closing of laboratories during practical sessions and open access periods.
Oversee inventory control and equipment management to ensure efficient stock levels.
Support budget preparation for consumables and equipment needs.
Perform administrative duties, engage in community initiatives, and contribute to third-stream income activities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Take accountability for personal professional development.
Participate in departmental activities, including community engagement and research initiatives.
