    Technical Data Administrator

    Job Description

    The Technical Data Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Teamcenter environment, ensuring seamless integration and data integrity across all engineering and production processes. This role is critical in supporting our product lifecycle management (PLM) system, providing technical support, and collaborating with various departments to enhance data management practices.

    Responsibilities

    Administration and Maintenance:

    • Manage and maintain the Teamcenter environment, including user accounts, security settings, and data models.
    • Perform regular system health checks, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
    • Monitor system performance and implement necessary optimizations to ensure efficiency and reliability.

    Data Management:

    • Ensure data integrity and consistency within Teamcenter, overseeing data imports, exports, and migrations.
    • Develop and enforce data management standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate with engineering, production, and IT teams to define data requirements and workflows.

    Technical Support:

    • Provide technical support to Teamcenter users, resolving issues related to system access, data retrieval, and application functionality.
    • Conduct training sessions and create user guides to enhance user proficiency with Teamcenter.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, liaising with vendor support as necessary.

    Integration and Customization:

    • Work with IT and engineering teams to integrate Teamcenter with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CAD).
    • Develop and implement custom scripts, workflows, and configurations to meet specific business needs.
    • Evaluate and implement new Teamcenter modules and updates.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed documentation of Teamcenter configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Generate regular reports on system usage, performance, and data integrity.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding data management.

    Job Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Teamcenter in an administrative or support role.
    • Proven experience in PLM systems management and data administration.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Teamcenter administration, including user management, data modeling, and system configuration.
    • Strong knowledge of database management, SQL, and PLM-related programming languages (e.g., ITK, SOA).
    • Familiarity with ERP, CAD systems, and their integration with Teamcenter.
    • Experience with system performance monitoring and optimization.

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certification in Teamcenter or related PLM systems.
    • Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to data management.
