Technical Formulations Manager - Centurion at AFGRI Equipment

Description

Coordinate and manage formulations, quality and laboratory processes on site whilst providing technical support to factories and operational nutritionists. Devising innovative solutions to keep the company current or ahead of local and international trends and developments.

Requirements

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

• BSc. Agric (Animal Science)
• MSc. Animal Nutrition Science

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE            

• 3 years experience in managing formulations, quality and laboratory processes
• Experience in providing technical support to factories and Operational Nutritionists

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS         

• Maintain restrictions and norms for finished products on Central 
• Implement new specs and ensure the accuracy of formulae
• Implement and roll out new raw materials, update current raw materials 
• Maintain raw material matrixes on Central 
• Assist Nutritionists to ensure that marketing receives accurate finished products costings timeously
• Attend price meetings and ensure that are accurate 
• Communicate and coordinate raw material restrictions and the cost impact on finished product prices between nutritionists and procurement
• Identify problem areas and implement actions and provide advice on NIR analyses and calibrations strategies  
• Assist factory managers with formulation and quality-related matters 
• Provide training and support to Operational Nutritionists
