Technical Material Analyst - Rosslyn at UD Trucks

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Analyze early warning trigger and collect failed parts from dealerships with support from service sales team based on high warranty claims and high warranty costs
• Good understanding of aftermarket diagnostic and repair methods.

Perform Technical Material Analysis 

• For warranty claim parts, support to investigate the root cause 
• For warranty claim parts , to study veracity of claim and support for rejection
• For production parts, support pre-investigation of 0 km failures
• Handling of testing equipment and test rigs
• Performing parts fitment and failure analysis directly on the trucks
• Extract CAN signals and perform analysis
• Record additional info as required through separate instrumentation 

Maintain relationship with external labs

• Establish and maintain 3rd party external labs for performing TMA
• Sign contracts with support from IPS towards timeline and costs
• Ensure timeline and costs are adhered to
• Raise PO and ensure payments on time

Manage failed parts logistics

• Ensure failed parts shipment within agreed timeline from
• Dealer to TMA lab
• TMA lab to 3rd party external lab 
• TMA lab to UD supplier
• TMA lab to UDT Technology Bangalore

Prepare & submit TMA report with synthesis & recommendation on root cause liability 

•     ( UD, Dealer, Supplier etc..)

Authority

• Accountable to perform TMA, support in CoNQ reduction , Special Warranty R & quality improvement
• Accountable to perform vehicle level analysis and operate in house rigs
• Accountable for parts logistic & TMA reports
• Accountable for timely calibration of test equipment’s and planned maintenance of rigs
• Responsible to prepare and maintain yearly budget (OPEX , CAPEX etc..)

Minimum qualifications and experiences 

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Diploma (S3) or
• Minimum N4/N5 Technical qualification 

Experience 

• Technical expertise in the truck segment industry preferred.
• Need to have a work experience in Quality and component testing.
• Experience with Warranty processes. 
• Practical hands-on experience in automotive sector

• Good technical skills to work on electronics hardware troubleshooting
• Excellent cross functional collaboration skills
• Good level of English skills.
