Technical Writer - City of Cape Town at ACI Worldwide

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and understand supporting materials.
• Serve as the subject matter expert to write and validate the first draft of content with product and software engineering peers.
• Serve as team’s project manager and POC for assigned products to manage all project deliverables.
• Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Understand and comply with Risk Management program requirements including identification of risks, key controls, and control testing as applicable to responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.#

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Linguistics, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of full stack layers including coding ability on 1 language
• Understanding of cloud computing types (public, private, hybrid, and multi) and services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and potential effect on documentation requirements.
• Understanding of cloud computing dependent technologies including operating systems, databases, and APIs.
• 3+ years’ experience
• Working in a content management system
• Writing simple, clear content for end-users
• Applying predefined editorial and quality standards
