Job Overview:

• Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Field Service Technician to join our technical team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and support of our digital communication systems at client sites across South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' field service experience.
• Strong PC, networking and troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical knowledge and fault-finding experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools for installations.
• Ability to work independently and manage site activities.
• Excellent communication, reporting and organizational skills.
• Valid South African driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Good physical health and ability to lift equipment up to 40 kg.
• Practical experience with drilling, grinding, mounting and installations.
• Basic electrical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
• Comfortable working on-site and at heights where required.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair digital display systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking and electrical faults.
• Monitor and restore offline screens to ensure maximum system uptime.
• Travel to client sites to perform installations, maintenance and repairs.
• Liaise with client IT departments, electricians and our IT team.
• Record all service activities and technical issues using the current app.
• Manage tools, spare parts and company equipment.
• Provide regular technical reports and updates to management.
• Plan efficient travel routes and respond to service calls within SLA requirements.
• Attend to offline or faulty screens and assist with restoring systems to operational status.
• Travel to client sites for installations, maintenance, and repairs.
