Test and Operations Lead at GBS

• We are looking for a Test Lead (Player-Coach) to build and embed a practical, high-impact testing capability within our PMO, while staying actively involved in delivery.
• This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the balance of hands-on testing, leading by example, and improving how quality is delivered across the SDLC in a fast-paced, integrated environment.
• You will be at the centre of driving quality, structure, and consistency across multiple teams, systems, and vendors.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement a fit-for-purpose testing framework (standards, templates, governance)
• Lead and execute testing across key initiatives (test design, execution, defect management, UAT support)
• Coordinate testing across internal teams and external vendors
• Partner with PMs, BAs, Developers, and Vendors to drive quality across the SDLC
• Support production readiness, go-live validation, and post-release monitoring improvements
• Deliver clear, concise reporting on risks, progress, and release readiness
• Track quality metrics and continuously improve testing practices

 Must-Have Experience & Skills

• We are looking for a strong hands-on tester with leadership potential or experience.

You should bring:

• 3–6 years’ experience in Software Testing / QA
• Solid hands-on experience in:
• Functional Testing
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Test Case Design & Execution
• Defect Logging & Tracking
• Experience in integrated or multi-system environments
• Exposure to APIs, system integrations, and data validation
• Strong understanding of the SDLC and testing lifecycle
• Experience improving or building testing frameworks, standards, or processes
• Ability to independently own testing for projects or workstreams
• Experience working with developers, business analysts, and vendors
• Strong documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail
• A structured, proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and quality
