Requirements

• A relevant degree in Social Sciences or in the Humanities discipline
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or as a Clinical Social Worker  with the South African Council of Social Development Professionals
• At least 2 years relevant post-qualification working experience
• Valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence

Key Performance Areas

• Provide substance abuse treatment services to individuals, groups or families, including an assessment of the nature, extent and complexity of the disorder
• Facilitate early recovery groups, relapse prevention groups and social support groups
• Facilitate educational sessions, therapeutic services and referral services for families
