Time and Attendance Clerk at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL Foods is on the hunt for a Time and Attendance Clerk. The main objective of the Time and Attendance Clerk is to maintain and update employee hours on the SAP system to ensure accuracy before every payroll run.

Minimum Requirements    

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
• Basic Computer skills
• Proficient Excel skills

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Checking of hours and error messages on the SAP system DAILY
•  Checking for error messages for Malalane and Komati mill, which helps to eliminate short pays
•  Make sure that all leave forms are created on the system
• Time manager’s support for both mills
•  Standard: Training and client support

Management of employees in the SACO System, such as engagements and discharges

•  Ensure that hours are correct for payment according to company policy
•  Check the SACO system and the SAP system
•  Check if clockings are coming through on time
• Checking of pre-printed pay slips after 1st payroll run
•  Ensure that the slip have the correct hours.
•  Hours and pay slips need to be checked to prevent over and under payments

Communicating

•  The individual requires the ability to resolve problem to satisfaction of employee

Administration & Filing

•  The individual need to ensure the availability of important documents for audit purposes

Capturing of standby allowances for both mills

•  Ensuring that the correct employees holding standby are correctly compensated
•  Ensuring the SACO system matches the standby list

Preparing short pay for payment

•  Making sure that all employee who has been short paid receive their short pay
