Often invisible to guests, the back of house team keeps things running smoothly, whether you’re working in Maintenance, Finance or Reservations, you’ll be supporting and contributing to something special.
Create and process tour operating travel arrangements through our luxury tour operating division, whilst liaising with all stakeholders for the efficient functioning of the division both on a local and an international platform.
Making of reservations for our safari camps in Botswana.
Quoting, managing and making tour operating bookings including flights, transfers, restaurant reservation, as well as accommodation bookings.
Making lodge reservations for FIT’s and groups, preparing rate proposals and following up on the business to ensure revenue.
Assist & maintain an efficient administration system within the department.
Assist with related duties as and when required by management.
Ensure accurate & detailed capturing of lodge reservations.
Reviewing, monitoring and revising guest service standards, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction.
Supply quotations based on the client’s requests.
Ensure all quotations are followed up on a regular basis in order to ensure maximum revenue.
Be flexible in working hours and ensure coverage when needed.
Requirements
Excellent customer service orientation.
Destination knowledge of Southern Africa including accommodation, transfers and flights.
Previous experience in a Reservations or Sales Orientated position advantageous.
Previous in-depth experience in a tour operating environment - minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a luxury tour operating environment required. (Safari operating environment beneficial.)
Computer Literacy and creative writing skills required.
Previous Hospitality and Travel Experience essential.
The ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
The ability to work well within a team environment and without supervision.
Exceptional telephone etiquette and mannerisms required.
