Tourism Graduate (Mobile & Visitor Experience) at Cape Town Tourism

• We are offering 1 Graduate Internship opportunity for an aspiring tourism professional to join our Visitor Experience team. This role provides hands-on exposure within one of Cape Town’s leading tourism organisations, where you will gain practical experience in visitor engagement, destination promotion, tourism sales, and customer service excellence.
• You will work across our Visitor Experience Centres and Mobile Activation Units, helping visitors discover the very best of Cape Town while contributing to a seamless and memorable visitor journey.

Position Details

 As part of the Visitor Experience team, you will:

• Welcome and assist local and international visitors with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Provide destination information and recommendations on attractions, activities, accommodation, events, and experiences in Cape Town
• Support visitors through in-person, telephonic, email, and online chat interactions
• Promote visitor safety and responsible tourism practices
• Convert visitor enquiries into tourism and booking opportunities where possible
• Assist with merchandise sales, displays, stock control, and daily reporting
• Represent the Cape Town Tourism brand at activations, events, and mobile visitor units
• Stay informed about tourism trends, local experiences, and destination offerings
• You will receive ongoing mentorship and coaching from experienced Visitor Experience leaders while working within a dynamic, people-focused environment.
